My brother is a meat cutter. At least once a month his store discovers they ordered too much of something and I get whatever it is for next to nothing before they mark it down and put it on the shelf. Deals like boneless chicken breast that usually goes for $4.99 LB, for $0.99 LB.

I'd like to buy all my meat like this and just keep it in a deep freezer for obvious reasons.

I'm a little confused about what size freezer I should get though. I've looked around at Walmart on-line and found a 5 cubic foot freezer for ~$200 and a 1.6 cubic foot freezer for ~$80.

The 5 seems a little big, but the 1.6 seems pretty small. I can pretty much be considered two people when it comes to food.

I don't want to get a freezer that's too big and ends up using more electricity than I would save by freezing my meat. I also don't want to get one that's so small that I can't put enough meat in it to make the freezer pay for itself.

Anywho, I'm thinking about deep freezers, I'm confused, and I know you guys are avid meat people. :D
